Has anyone been to opening day at the bagel place? And does anyone know if they make the bagels on premises or purchase them from off site? I remember that space being pretty tiny, and wonder how they'd fit bagel-making equipment in there... |

Think they bring them in from NY. Nice guys - enjoyed the bagel! |

The place is going to be good. They have lots of things in there besides bagels. Perfect for breakfast or lunchtime. It will probably take some time for things to run smoothly but my bagel sandwich was great. |

I went there this morning and it is excellent. It's family run and they were nice to my family and I introducing themselves and explaining their store. They have salads (macaroni, etc...) which looked better then the super market and they also sell eggs, milk and bread. So it's a bagel place/deli.
One of the guys also told me that they make their own cream cheese. |

Thumbs up! A great addition to Main Street. I hope everyone takes the opportunity to support this new business. |

I go to a bagel shop for fresh bagels not day old bagels from somewhere else thats why. I guess if I still want fresh bagels then I will go to hightstown or plainsboro where the bagel shops make them fresh everyday. |

They are not day old. They are made at another location and delivered there fresh, daily. Go crawl back under your rock, you creep ! |

This negative post was predictable. The person admits having not even tried the place yet. Pick ANY local topic and there is a lone poster, probably all the same person, who makes sport of trying to bring others down. I feel bad for the people who have to deal with this person in the flesh every day. Must be depressing. |

Are you sure? I was told they are shipped in from Staten Island. If that's the case, they are definitely (at least) a day old once they arrive here.
And yes, I did try them. They're fine - exactly what I would expect from any similar bagel shop that doesn't make them in house. The convenience probably won't be enough to make me switch, but they'll be okay in a pinch. |
