Notwithstanding some of the fairly inane remarks made, this strand SHOULD be read by the bank, just so they can see how many people are dissatisfied with the level of customer service, especially in the Village Branch.
The fact of the matter is that 1st Constitution was founded 20+ years ago to bring "home town banking", including good customer service, back to Cranbury to combat the "big bank policies" of MidLantic Bank (the precursor to the old PNC space).
And it was a "Home Town Bank" for a while, until (using an oversimplified explanation) the original President and some of the original Board Members were gone, and the "new" Board hired a new President - a former executive from none other than MidLantic Bank, and, starting with fees, the bank slowly lost it's home town feel, and now we have a little bank, trying to become a big bank, and generally not caring about customer service - especially in the Village Branch.
Although this cannot be viewed as 'supportive' of !st Constitution Bank, it certainly isn't 'bashing'. It is a simple declarative statement, which most depositors - and especially long-time depositors - know to be true: Customer Service is no longer a priority at the Village Branch. And, it's a sad commentary because pretty much everyone in Cranbury is here for the "small town/hometown" ambiance.
On a final note, did these people ever get their $100 back? |
