Christie is a terrible governor. However, your post may be correct anyway, we have had many terrible governors.

I'd agree with that. I voted for Corzine and he was quite bad, though not as bad as the one before him. Then I voted for Christie because Corzine was so bad and Christie has been even worse. He doesn't actually accomplish anything positive for the state, just a lot of sound bites and publicity stunts designed to make him look good to people far removed from the state. The only thing good I can say about him is he is not a slave to the special interests as much as the ones before him. But he's just replaced it with one special interest, his own. And he's an arrogant ass to boot.

New Jersey deserves its terrible politicians. We keep electing them and accepting the corruption and special interest domination. The Assembly and Senate are just as bad, if not worse. Both parties.

That pretty much sums it up.

The New Jersey Supreme Court has always been the pride of new Jersey - with justices' appointments spanning many many governors with differing ideologies. These fine people have served New Jersey and its constituents well. They are mostly underappreciated and underpaid

This is the same supreme court which brought New Jersey the worse affordable housing rules in the country, rules which are really just a front for big developer interests? The same court that brought us the Abbott school funding laws that have been a disaster, and are just a front for special interests as well? You keep dreaming the dream.

And there is no such thing as global warming, the earth was created 6000 years ago, the science of creationism should be taught in our schools, the debt ceiling does not have to be raised, John Kerry was not a war hero, there are death panels in the new healthcare legislation, all Muslims are terrorists, the economy doesn't need a stimulus, republicans propose legislation until President Obama supports it and then they are against it, corporations are people with equal first amendment rights - the same as real people, President Obama isn't an American citizen, unemployed people just don't want to work so they don't deserve unemployment insurance, affordable housing in NJ has been bad for communities and is merely a tool for special interest developers, Norway's right wing Christian terrorist can't be a Christian because Christians could never commit such horrid acts.............

I think you need to separate the court decision, especially the original court decision from the way the New Jersey legislature and successive governors chose to implement the decision.

The original decision was most definitely not a front for big developers. The implementation most definitely was. While I am sure there were some competent hard working people at COAH, all of my interactions with them were with fire breathing zealots or near complete incompetents, not a good combination.

You are really trying to lump the reality of New Jersey’s affordable housing debacle with all these other crackpot theories? You realize that just makes you sound crazy, which is the opposite of what you were trying to convey. All the other items you listed are beliefs of extreme fringes while it is only extremist fringes that don’t believe NJ’s affordable housing policies have been bad and manipulated for the benefit of developers. New Jersey is the most over-developed housing state in the country. Ever heard of the “builder’s remedy”? You either have no idea what you’re talking about or are some kind of extremist.
