I like simple, elegant towns, and Cranbury is one. Simple means cutting down all the nonessential stuff and keeping the cost of running the town down. Elegant means everyone is working hard to keep the town look neat and well cared for.

I like the idea of not paying people to maintain the parks and roads. Also let's police ourselves. As for all the crime that occurs on 130 and the warehouses, we can just build a wall for cheap. If u are hurt or your house catches on fire eventually the hurt will stop and the fire will burn itself out. Maybe we can throw bricks at cars that speed. Who needs libraries and schools in this day and age? Simple and elegant. Genius.

You are an ass. This topic was obviously started to counter the tone of all the crap on this Board and lasted for a couple days with everyone respecting that, posting nothing if they had nothing positive to say. It doesn't matter than your message is obviously satirical, it still serves no purpose other than to try and provoke negative comments. Great job.

Getting back on track...the fact that we don't have too many malcontents like the previous poster in our town. The fact that he/she prefers to post anonymously rather than acting in such a childish way in public. These are also good things, despite the poster obviously being a sad thing.

The sentiment of the earlier poster, I think, is that people are willing to give their time and other resources for the betterment of the community. That is indeed a good thing.

I don't include the Cranbury Inn in the list of what makes Cranbury great. As a longtime resident I have never found the current owners to be particularily nice or benevolent towards residents or their neighbors. As a matter of fact I have always found him to be arrogant and mean spirited.Same thing when he owned the market. I will never go there under the current ownership. I know many residents feel the same. He just isn't a very nice man.

My God! Why can't you be, or at least pretend to be, a pleasant human being. The OP was trying to reorient this board to a positive topic. And you have to sit behind your keyboard and spew negativity. I feel bad for you. If you do not like the CB Inn, do not go there. In contrast, I know of several youth teams/events the Inn's owners have sponsored. That is supporting the community. Think seriously whether you do the same by knocking others down.

Yes you do. And readers of the forum have the right to form an opinion about your inability to be civil.

really? This does not belong on this thread. Simply start your own thread, call it.......Cranbury Sucks. Post to your hearts content. That way I don't have to read it, but you can have fun.

Okay, but if you're intent was anything but malicious why the need to express it in this particular topic which anyone with a first grade education could see was trying to be an island of positivity? Start your own topic if you want to hate on someone.

So let's say you're at a school or community function, in-person and not anonymous, and everyone is engaged in small talk and someone says something you don't agree with -- do you always feel compelled to chime in and argue even when the context is not right for it? Or do you sometimes just hold your tongue and realize it doesn't matter if you don't agree with them? This was the same context -- this was a topic about positive statements. If you didn't agree with one, why not just move on instead of bringing the topic down? So what if someone likes the Inn and you don't -- this topic wasn't an invitation to argue it was about posting positive comments. Are you really incapable of comprehending that? Did your momma never teach you that sometimes if you don't have something nice to say don't say anything at all? Sad.

Born and raised here and I agree. I won't go back until there are new owners.
