Come out to Teddy’s Restaurant this Saturday, enjoy a cup of coffee courtesy of “George” and meet your Cranbury Township Police Officers. We are happy to kick-off our 2018 “Coffee with a Cranbury Cop” by highlighting our Police Unity Tour Officers. The Police Unity Tour is a bicycle ride to raise awareness of Law Enforcement Officers killed in the line of duty and to raise money for the National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial in Washington, D.C.
This year, four of our Cranbury Township Police Officers have been selected to participate in the 2018 Police Unity Tour. Cranbury Township FOP Loge 68, in partnership with Cranbury Township Police Department, will be honored to participate in their first ever Police Unity Tour ride.
This four-day bike ride will start on May 9th and will conclude at the National Law Enforcement Memorial in Washington D.C. It will consist of over 2000 officers from across the nation, all of whom have come together to represent and honor the many officers who have been killed in the line of duty. The Police Unity Tour has been raising awareness for fallen officers and their families since 1997 and helps to maintain the National Law Enforcement Memorial Wall where the names of over 21,000 officers who have died since 1791 are inscribed.
As a member of the Police Unity Tour, all participants are required to raise a minimum of $1,900.00 to support the Tour. Any donations and each and every dollar makes a tremendous difference. All fundraising goes entirely to the member’s goal. This weekend March 3, 2018 from 7:30 am to 9:30 am, several members that have been selected to ride will be hosting “Coffee with a Cop” located at Teddy’s Restaurant on North Main Street. Come out for a cup of coffee and say hello to your police officers.
