Could the folks behind the losing Eman campaign and the Rogers campaign kindly spend this weekend picking up all of their campaign signs and recycle them?
Also, congratulations to Evelyn Spann who didn't need to rely on the advertising to win and instead allowed your experience, your ability and your ideas speak for itself. |

Do they need to be recycled or can they be reused? One could paint over them and they can be used by children to make slow down in our town signs again. |

Surprising that no one is contesting the outcome based on all that voter suppression. |

let me do the Dem translation of their arguments.
- rich get richer - Dem translation-It is horrible that we actually have a good financial position. It is insane that the Mayor would be happy that our revenue is growing and taxes are going down. Rep translation- we should be happy to live in a town where our taxes aren’t a concern and we can afford a blue Ribbon school. Great news. We should be happy that our dollars are working for us.
- We should not motivate the vote, but motivate informing people why to vote- Dem translation- the informed people won’t vote for our ticket. How dare the Mayor say the focus should be on informing the voters not on signs, athletes or celebrity endorsements. We need people to vote based on signs nothing else. Rep translation- an informed voter is a motivated voter and an informed voter betters our society.
- Signs don’t add value- Dem translation- our voters only know there is an election because of the signs— see multiple FB posts with this sentiment. See point above about not wanting people informed and voting. Election Day is the same Tuesday every year, but we think so little of people that they need a sign to remind them. Just look at how many people forget their own birthday, 4th of July, Halloween, Christmas, Thanksgiving and Labor Day.
Rep translation- we think most people are smart enough to remember when Election Day is happening along with their birthday, Christmas, Labor Day, 4th of July and every other major holiday that falls on the same day each year.
The Dem arguments are all illogical or demeaning to our residents. |

I'm happy for Evelyn and she ran a great campaign. But it's also silly to suggest she simply won because her "ideas speak for themselves." She campaigned more actively than any other candidate. Nothing wrong with that. Except the suggestion she didn't need to. She canvased door to door. She was the only candidate to come to our house. She held a ton of meet-and-greets at Teddy's etc. She posted all the time on social media. Signs are only one tool in the kit and the only one she didn't use. Which was nice. Again, great campaign and nice person. But so were the other candidates. Eman seems like an awesome person too. She also campaigned well. |

Can the Dems start a local impeachment process. It seems the best tactic to get what you want when stamping your feet doesnt work. |
