If you can’t see that closing Main st for 6 hours, inviting people in during covid and having them come into an area with a lot of at risk individuals is a bad idea then you are as blind for Matt as the Trump fans are for him. Most homes are owned by people at risk. So either there is limited trick or treating or you are putting people at risk by concentrating everyone in an area and opening the town up to even more trick or treaters.
Reasonable when no Covid is around yes from 4-8. Reasonable with Covid from 2-8 no. |

Oh I’m sorry, I must have missed the part in the mayor’s update where it states that it’s mandatory for at risk homeowners to invite people into their homes, or even to hand out candy. I only read as far as “there are signs available at Town Hall for those who don’t want to participate.” |

| So blindly agree this a great idea. Fine. But either there is limited trick or treating as most homes are owned by at risk individuals in which case those homes on main st are not handing out candy negating the need to shut the street down or the at risk people will feel obligated to hand out candy and risk getting Covid. Either way it is a bad idea and like with the lake no thought was given to the negative side. Just a rush and do it. |

Excuse me? “Blindly agree”???? Just because I don’t agree with you does not mean I am blind. Could you be any more arrogant? Sorry I don’t share your anti-Matt crusader views, obviously I just want to put high risk homeowners in danger and keep you from your Saturday afternoon trip to Home Depot.
The bottom line is that I think you are making this far more of a big deal than it really is, and I suspect that it’s because you are too busy trying to make Matt look bad than to let kids have a whopping 6 hours of fun and normalcy. You act as though this is going to pull in record numbers of trick or treaters, I think you’ll find that the opposite will be true. |
