Why does the banner hanging across Main Street near the fire house say it's happening September 8?

Who decided to hold Cranbury Day on the 20th anniversary of the 9/11 attacks?

It is totally inappropriate for Cranbury to hold Cranbury Day on a day of mourning - Sept 11. Yet another very foolish and insensitive decision made by the Township. Especially when a young Cranbury resident - Todd Beamer - led the attempt to prevent the death and disaster in Shanksville PA and is honored in two locations in Cranbury - at the Post Office and in Heritage Park.

Mr. Moody. I disagree with many of the things you have raised in the past, but fully agree here with you. The day did not happen last year so it could have been moved this year by one week. The idea of it having today because of history already was broken. I think it was a classic case of focusing just on what one wants to do vs should do. It is sad to see. One week could have been as successful and shown respect a win-win.

Cranbury Day is always the 1st Saturday after Labor Day. This year it just happened to fall on the 20th anniversary of the 9/11 attacks. I think our community coming out together to enjoy the day is the best way to honor those who lost their lives that day. For those who wanted a more solemn recognition only have to go to Heritage park and see the flag display and visit the memorial.

Richard please stop complaining all the time about every single thing in this town. You dont even own a house here you only rent.

And also - it is not the townships decision - it is the CBA who runs Cranbury Day. It is always held after labor day. The did have ceremonies in town to honor people and also in Heritage park they did the flag display. There were other towns who also had festivals. The firehouse donated everything to a 9-11 cause. So maybe you should just stop complaining. If you didnt like it you had the option to stay inside all day. Everyone has a choice in life.

Cranbury Day did not happen last year. Nothing would have been lost and the same excitement would have been had with making it the second weekend after Labor Day. It’s not like Christmas.

I am surprised the right wing nut jobs complain here about that, but they don't complain about about Trump skipping memorial services and instead going to a boxing match with his idiot son.

It’s funny how the leftist nut jobs are incapable of getting the facts right when they read news articles. Or maybe they just leave certain facts out.
