| It always amazes me how nasty to do-nothings are, whether on this board or gossiping over the back fence. If you want to know what's up with the Fire Company, the Library or the TC, go ask them. Or better yet, volunteer to help. They're your neighbors and, for the most part, they got involved to do what they think is right, even if their vision doesn't align with yours or mine. |

I agree with your comment, except the library. Nice that our tax dollars were used to purchase the Wright property to “protect the vista to the west”. |

I agree with your comment, except the library. Nice that our tax dollars were used to purchase the Wright property to “protect the vista to the west”. |
Don't worry based on the TC meeting they will pave the remaining space for pickleball courts which will be another ballfield. |

Not really worth bragging about. Middlesex county has become a urban wasteland. Taxes are lower in communities that are somewhat more rural to our south. |

Not really worth bragging about. Middlesex county has become a urban wasteland. Taxes are lower in communities that are somewhat more rural to our south. |
That's a pointless comparison. What matters is who has the best tax rate in the area you want to live, or to the area within our commuting profile. Cranbury does we'll versus our neighbors. Way cheaper from a tax perspective to live her and send kids to PHS or commute to the train station than the alternatives. If you don't mind living more rurally and don't have to worry about schools or commutes, go for it. |

You fail to state how that was a “pointless comparison”. You give your reasoning for wanting to live here while stating the reasons others would like to leave. It’s funny how newer residents are not familiar with any areas south of here, and still believe we have the lowest taxes in the area. |

I exactly gave the reasons the comparison was pointless. If you can't comprehend them, I can't help you.
Property taxes are far lower in Alabama than anywhere in NJ including further south. So why don't we all move to Alabama or why can't we get the exact same services and schools here paying the same property taxes as Alabama? The answer is the same as why some people are willing to pay more here than more rural communities to the south of us. |
