I'll vote for any TC candidate who can maintain or reduce my tax bill

I heard there will have one TC seat for grabs this year. I'll vote for a TC candidate who is conscious about the budget and can maintain or reduce my property tax bill or at least stop the needless spending!

I second that opinion! I'm disturbed by the TC's late notification and closed meetings concerning important issues such as the the PNC bank purchase, COAH, the new baseball field. etc.

I use to be able to trust the decision of the TC, but with past and present issues listed above, I do not feel confident that they are making decisions in Cranbury's best interest. The spending is getting out of control (Wait! It's out of control!).

We are building a new baseball field, COAH issues are not resolved (which includes retroactive fees), approved an extra 1 million for the 2008 school budget (after the increase of 1 million the school received in their 2007 budget), we are taking about purchasing PNC bank to building a new library - when we already have one that currently satisfies Cranbury's needs - AND THIS IS A BIG ONE - We have a DEFICIT of over 23 million!

We are in a recession everyone ... and we keep spending - Houses are not even selling ... and we keep spending.

When will the TC halt spending and balance Cranbury's budget?

We have 23 million dollars in debt. While it can be said we are under the state cap for the amount of debt we are allowed by law to carry however we still have significant debt which is costing us close to 2 Millions dollars a year to pay. I would like to see us make additional principal payments if possible to help eliminate debt not accrue more debt for the wants of the township committee

The township committee needs to hold the line on all spending. We can not and should not be looking to purchase a building (PNC Bank) which has been privately owned for close to 100 years. We cannot afford to loose the tax dollars the building generates ($27,000 a year which helps to pay a teacher or police officer in Cranbury). Further what other hidden costs are there associated with the acquisition of this building?

What will the cost of COAH be to Cranbury to fight this? Or even worse yet if we have to comply?

What will the cost be to Cranbury to fight consolidation? Don't be so naive as to think we could not be facing some type of legislation or even worse if the courts in New Jersey decide to rule against towns like Cranbury just as they did in the Mount Laurel ruling which is causing us to face the huge COAH obligation

We need the Township Committee to hold the line on the soaring property taxes in Cranbury!
