Because he is Republican. The Dems just keep pushing the Repubs down. It is a problem going on here for many many years.

My vote for stupidest post on silliest thread of all time. Nobody nominated Jay for the same reason nobody nominated David Cook. At the time of nominations each of them had one half hour of experience on the TC. Dave and Jay will have plenty to do in the next year. They have to learn various policies and procedures. They need to start forming relationships at the county and state level. They need to get to know and access the quality of professionals and employees that work for the township. I believe both Jay and Dave would agree they have plenty to do.

If you want to complain about Jay not being nominated in a year, please do. At that point it would be a valid complaint.

Have you considered the possibility that the fact that Win's nomination was seconded was personal and not partisan?

Win has spent a year pushing the other TC Members on a variety of issues, often openly drawing their motives into question with a confrontational style. Perhaps the other committee members simply don't want to spend another 100 hours a year with him? After all, these people are volunteers.

Though still strong minded, Jay seems to be more affable and potentially easier to work with. However, the other poster was right. Jay already has a lot to do this year.

How do we know Jay would want do this? He has a baby at home and does a lot in town already from my seeing him at other meetings before and after the election, plus has a full time job. Perhaps the PB would be too much and that's why no one asked him or he asked them not to nominate him.

I would fully support Jay next year for Mayor or PB provided he wants it. I say this because I know his dad served as a Democrat in the 90's and did a lot in town. I think most people share in values imparted by their families. At least as a parent of grown children I hope they do.
