The Cranbury Public Library will present Cranbury Jazz on Friday, March 23 at 8 p.m. in the library's large group room.
The Cranbury Jazz ensemble consists of Art Zysk on trumpet, Mike Bacorn on saxophone, Ben Kennedy on piano, trombone and vocals, Bernhard Geiger on upright bass and band manager Paul Venanzi on drums, clarinet and saxophone.
The "mostly Cranbury" quintet first performed on Cranbury Day 2006. They play jazz standards, and feature two favorites, "When Sonny Gets Blue" and "Girl from Ipanema" on their Web site, www.cranburyjazz.com.
Admission to the program is free, and includes the opportunity to hear your very own applause on the live CD recording they will make that night.
Howard Zogott, public library director, said "Having heard several of the performers play separately, I'm really looking forward to hearing them play as an ensemble." |
