Spring cleaning for charity; annual Evans Tract Yard Sale

Cranbury-wide yard sale to benefit participants, Cranbury First Aid and Rescue Squad and the Cranbury Fire Company.

More than 40 Cranbury families will be dusting off and dragging out old furniture, appliances and knickknacks with hopes of making a few bucks on Saturday at the annual Evans Tract Yard Sale.

And this year, a few extra homeowners get to reap the benefits, along with the Cranbury First Aid and Rescue Squad and the Cranbury Fire Company.

Evans Drive residents Betty and Leo Fenity started the yard sale tradition in 1989 and held the reins through 2003. It was taken over by former Griggs Tract resident Anne Way in 2004, and Oak Lane resident Edith Dlugokencki ran it in 2005. This year, Stockton Drive resident Victor Scire is coordinating this event and has expanded the sale to include his street as well as Bergen Drive.
