Residents invited to give input during a meeting this Monday
The Township Committee wants to take a comprehensive look at flooding in Cranbury.
At the 7 p.m. Monday committee meeting in Town Hall, residents are invited to speak about drainage and flooding problems to give the committee an idea of where there are reoccurring water issues, especially on township roadways.
Committeeman Wayne Wittman said the issue was brought to everyone's attention in April when a nor'easter brought 7 inches of rain to the township, flooding roads like Main Street and damaging basements.
But there also are problems elsewhere and at other times.
"On some of the side roads puddling occurs when there's extreme heavy rains and things like that," he said. "So, instead of just looking at one road, we should really look and see what we have throughout the whole town and where there may be some trouble spots that we should address."
