Maybe we just need more warehouse/office space?
Theres LOTS of land straddling the turnpike. It's great farmland, but theres NO money in farming around here anymore.
The commercial interests in town want to push the tax burden downward, onto the residential properties. Of course, the township lets them get away with it because MONEY TALKS!
Residents should sue for lower tax rate just like the developers do when they want a tax break. They make money building properties, then they leave town, then they whine like little school girls about how much tax they pay. Naturally, the township rolls over for them like whipped puppies. |

Does the township own the land? Is the township balance sheet (which shows the assesses and liabilities) a public record? |
