There is this line:

i) Resolution # R 09-07-162 – Resolution awarding a Professional Services Agreement for tax appeal consulting services to Sockler Realty Services Group, Inc.

What is that for??

There is a guy in town named Sockler who is in real estate.

As I understand it, when an appeal is placed the owner must show comprable properties. Then the tax collector makes an assessment. Since they have the tax records and closing information on hand, they should be able to determine the validity of the comparables pretty quickly. Why then would we need someone to advise the town?
