Whatever happened with the TC salary increases?

A month or so ago there was discussion here about the TC consideirng pay increases for themselves. Whatever happened with this? Did they ever vote on it and if so what was the result? Is it reall true they were trying to raise themselves to the level where they would be eligible for pensions?

I noticed that West Windsor, which was also considering this, just killed the initiative due to public opposition. I can't imagine it making sense here in the current climate.
