				| If this huricane hits us on Saturday - is there a rain date for Cranbury Day? Or do they just cancel it? |

OFFICER OF EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT

PRESS RELEASE

DATE: September 2, 2008

SUBJECT: Hurricane Alert

SUBMITTED BY: Chief Edward Kahler

The projected path of Tropical Storm Hanna will bring it through Cranbury on Saturday, September 6, 2008 (Cranbury Day).

As with all natural and man made disasters, residents should have the following items on hand:

1. Water. Two gallons of water per person, per day (drinking and hygiene). A one week supply of water is suggested.

2. Food. Enough to last one week unless otherwise advised.

3. Medicine, oxygen and medical supplies. Enough to last at least one week unless otherwise advised. Seek your doctor’s advice.

4. Portable radio, flashlights and batteries.

5. Pet supplies.

6. Transportation. Make sure your vehicle is in working order in the event you must evacuate the area.

If possible, have a plan to leave the area and stay with friends or relatives. Every disaster is different and requires a unique response. Stay tuned to the television or radio for instructions.
