Can anyone recommend a good company for emptying/servicing our septic tank?
And any advice on how frequently this should be done? We've lived in our house 2 years and presumably it was emptied at time of purchase. Do we need to do it now? Can it be done year round or is it not done in winter?

| We've been using John Holm & Son (732-431-0083) for many years and have been very satisfied. How often your system needs to be serviced depends on alot of things... age, condition of drain field, etc. Let the service company determine how often it needs to be serviced. It can be done any time of year. |

John Holm & Son (609-448-6026) is a popular choice. We just used their service to pump our tank recently. The service person told me to pump the tank once every two years. I heard people pump their tank once every three years.
You will need to locate the tank cover yourself (or with help from others). |
