Cranbury Math Team to take on state.

After taking first at the MathCounts Raritan Chapter Division last month, the Cranbury School Math Team has sets its sights on a state championship.
To meet that end, the team has been running mock competitions every Monday and Thursday before school and on Saturdays, in addition to keeping up with the school's regular math curriculum.
The group is hoping to build on its recent success, when mathlete Patrick Chen placed second in the individual regional competition, Sam Tang placed third, Tommy Sorrentino placed fifth and Nayir Chowhury placed ninth. Each competitor had to complete 30 problems in 40 minutes without a calculator, and eight multi-step problems in 30 minutes with a calculator.
In addition, Patrick, Sam, Tommy and Colin Graydon won the team competition by working together to solve 10 problems in 20 minutes.
