I noticed Hannah and Masons was dark Friday night. Does anyone know if it closed down?

There is a sign on the door saying they are closed for one month for cosmetic updates and vacation.

This is probably the worst time of year to temporarily close a restaraunt with Valentines Day right around the corner. Do you think they will reopen?

I wonder if Kitchen is coming back to film the year later segment. They usually revisit a restaurant a year later to do a segment on how are they now.

I can't see them reopening. They were closed around the holidays as I recall, and now around V-day. Too bad, because I enjoyed the food.

They do make most of their revenue through catering so it may not be too big a loss to be closed over valentine's day if they make it up through catering.

Are they closing down? I guess Kitchen Nightmares didn't do to well for them?

Maybe if they took some of the advice they got, they would have been successful. Look how successful Blue Rooster is! That's the direction that the show was pushing them in.

Very true, they pretty much laughed at Chef Ramsey, but he was right in pushing them in that direction. The BR is doing great and if HM did that first they would probably still be open right now.

I had rolls from the BR at the church fundraiser two weekends ago. Ugh. I was not impressed. Shop Rite has better. Who says the BR is anything? I did enjoy the menu at HM a number of times. Their mistake was thinking that Cranburians would support their business. Same thing has happened to Hot Wok, If you don't go there they will not be there. How will Main St. look if there are For Rent signs posted on the shop windows. Hey wake up it starts locally.

It may be just what you're used to, but I think the BR's breads are wonderful. They are baked in the European tradition, and are quite different than the mass-produced breads you get in most Supermarkets. Shop-Rite's breads either come from an institutional baker, or come into the store frozen and par-baked (again at an institutional baker), and are finished in the store. It that's what you like, fine.

As for H&M's and Hot Wok, they are failing for one main reason: The food just isn't very good. I'm not going to go to patronize a restaurant just because it's in Cranbury. I will patronize a restaurant because it has good food and a nice atmosphere. I am perfectly willing to pay a bit more for these things.

The Blue Rooster will have to change its prices or its menu. Too expensive for what it is. Service is terrible.

It seems that the BR will survive by serving longer hours. I saw that they were open past nine on Fri. Its a smart way of beating the recession.

I agree, their lunch prices are very high. I only went for lunch one time and even though it was good, I would not go back due to the high prices. However, I do wish them well.
