Quotes are from the Cranbury Press artical.
"If the ordinance is approved, the public will see an increase in the quarterly flat fees from $17 per quarter to $56.25 per quarter, she said."
330% increase
"The per gallon consumption rate will also go up if the ordinance gets committee approval, from $2.75 per 1,000 gallons of water used to $6.60 per 1,000 gallons of water used."
240% increase
Is my math correct??
That seems like a very steep increase in rates. |

Maybe being stuck with septic like we are is not so bad after all... We pay once every 2-3 years for a cleaning and that's it... |

It's more for me. My drain field replacement cost me more than $11,000. |

Yep, that is the downside / risk. Presumably if properly maintained, this should be a once every 20 years or so thing though, so that works out to about $550/year, plus another $100 for the average annual cost of the cleaning. |
