There is an trail walk exploring a little known trail in Cranbury on Saturday June 20 at 10:00.
This trail goes from behind Cranbury School to the border of Plainsboro and connects up to a trail in Plainsboro along Cranbury Brook. Cranbury has rights to much of the land already; most of the other land belongs to a local farmer, Donny Paterson. He has graciously agreed to let us walk across his land for this walk. The land is a beautiful treasure that most people do not know exists.
This project has been in planning for many years but not completed. Members of the Cranbury Township Committee (myself and Pari Stave, our Mayor) and Tom Weidner, chair of the Parks Commission want to help make this a reality. The Helene Cody Foundation’s is supporting this project and many of Helene’s friends will be walking and seeing what help they can provide to see the trail become a reality.
This event is open to the community so please invite your friends and family. I hope to see many of you attend, the more people that we see there will show the support we need to continue working on the trail.
We will be meeting at 10:00 in the parking lot by the soccer fields behind the Cranbury School. The trail is about 2.5 - 3 miles. Some drivers may want to park some cars at the end of the trail in Plainsboro to help shuttle people back that only want to walk one way. |

Thanks, Win. IMO, it would be awesome if the trail were made available. |

We should be exiting by the brook on the Cranbury / Plainsboro border on George Davison Rd. There is a small parking lot on the Plainsboro side with a sign Lenape Trail. You could try parking there or any other legal street parking in the area. |
