Talk about a good Karma day…
So first our family (mom, dad, 11-year-old Ian, 8-year-old Katie & 4-year-old Connor) start Cranbury Day by running in the Helene Cody Cranbury 5K. Katie scores a family victory by beating the rest of us (including dad) and turning is a record time for the family.
Then mom (Kristen) wins one of the raffle prizes after the race – a spa membership to Gentle Healing!
Then, after enjoying the rest of Cranbury Day, we get home and have a message from Gil & Bert’s saying that 4-year-old Connor was the winner of their Word Search contest. Free ice cream!
Already this seems like amazing odds… Then an hour later we get a call from the Cranbury Police Department. Ian has won their raffle this year of people who received commendations for wearing their helmets while riding their bikes. A $300 gift card to Bicycle Rack in East Windsor!
At this point Kristen figured I should go buy some lottery tickets but we didn’t press our luck…
Of course the real winners are all the people who helped organize and put on the Cranbury Day activities and 5K run (benefitting the Helene Cody Foundation). What an awesome event and day – and even the weather cooperated in the end. I feel for the people who had to cancel the Camp Out for the second year in a row. But thank you all for the hard work!
Sincerely,
Jason (and the rest of the Stewart Family), Cubberly Court |

Jason,
Congrats to you and the family. What an exciting day.
I agree, it was a wonderful Cranbury day and thankfully the Cranbury Day luck of no rain continued this year. There is a lot of work the volunteers all do and the Business Assoc. deserves a lot of thanks for keeping this tradition going. |

I agree Jason as Good Karma was a phrase I used when speaking with several people today about the race and Cranbury Day in general this year. |
