I guess the "bad guys" didn't get that memo regarding them "staying out of Cranbury". Maybe the "bad guys" realize that Cranbury is a well to do town with liberal residents who still feel its ok to keep doors open and unlocked. Who knows, maybe these "bad guys" are local teenagers playing a prank. Noooo that can't be, this is Cranbury!

I heard the people responsible are actually a local gang called the "Troublesome Cranburians", or "TC" for short. Apparently, some members of the TC broke into the school and stole all the library books. When the cops started to chase them, they stashed the books in the vault of an abandoned bank building across the street (oddly in their proper dewey decimal system order). Then they took off across the baseball field where the cops had to get out of their cars and pursue on foot (because vehicular traffic is strictly prohibted on the new baseball field). When the cops got close, the members of the TC cleverly disguised themselves as a scoreboard before fleeing the scene leaving nothing behind but a lightly perused copy of "Growing Grass for Dummies" and leaving residents asking- will no one bring these Troublesome Cranburians to justice?

What I don't get is that the break-in occurred around midnight, and @ 4am the Stat police came by to set up a perimeter. If the bad guys are familiar with the woods, they can be near the dam and across to Cranbury neck road in no-time. And all of this because of a break-in?

There has to be more to this story.
