I know someone pretty senior at Verizon (SVP level at Corporate) whose job is specifically working with local government to get permission to do FiOS installs and she looked into it last year and told me not to hold my breath anytime soon. We're too small a fish, frankly. Hopefully that will change and it's been almost a year since I did that inquiry. But I have no reason to believe it has changed. All the communities you list are many multiples larger than us.

I do business with them and I too heard a similar story. Cranbury is not even near a priority because of our size.

Don't mention about fiber connections, lots of homes in Cranbury don't have access to public water, sewer, or gas lines.

I think homes in Shady Brook probably can get the fiber links from Plainsboro. They are more likely to get FIOS.

I had my electric done last year to go underground. Verizon was nice enough to put in fiberoptics at the same time. It in the ground, but not connected on either end Confused
