Was anyone else scratching their heads Friday night when 25 minutes into the Variety Show we were still listening to the teachers' band? Great for the kids to see the teachers in this light, but kids acts are limited to 3 minutes (not such a bad thing), so advice to the teachers--next time leave them wanting more...1 song would be great. It seemed a little self-serving. |

While I agree it was a little long, I think it is great that we have such talented teachers who WANT to participate in something like this. How many schools have teachers who would do this? The kids love to see their teachers and administration up there. I think it builds some bridges between the generations, and it's fun for the children to see the staff in a role other than teacher. I would have nixed their Michael Jackson act since so many of the kids did it. |

Why do people feel the need to complain about everything? So the teachers played/sang a few songs. Was it that terrible that you have to spend time complaining on here? There are much more important things to worry about in life. |

First, they didn't start on time, so it wasn't really 25 minutes. It was one dancing montage and two songs. Second, the night is FOR the kids and the kids LOVE that part of the show. A vast majority would be disappointed if they cut the teacher act tradition. I would be bummed too. It's great.
Relax. |

My kids have been involved in the Variety Show for years...Is it a long night? Yes...always has been; always will be. But it is the best community building event we have at Cranbury School. Everyone--students & teachers--are welcome to express themselves in the most creative way in such a positive atmosphere. It has made many fond memories for my family, and I imagine many other Cranbury families as well...the teachers should play on... |
