Quote: | Mr. Dillon also spoke of his concern about an area in close proximity to his home where the Turnpike will be removing trees. The Turnpike is not replacing the trees and he requested that the trees be replaced as they are of value both for visual advantages as well as to deter sound. Mr. Wahlers suggested Mr. Dillon get in touch with the Department of Environmental Protection to convey his concerns to them. |
This doesn't make any sense. The Turnpike Authority is giving the township money to plant trees to compensate for the trees the Turnpike Authority is removing. Why doesn't the township use some of that money to help Mr. Dillon? It seems like he is being directly affected, but the township wants to use the tree money to plant stuff in the center of Route 130? Contact the DEP? - please, Mr. Wahlers - tell me you are joking! Otherwise, wish Mr. Dillon good luck because he will get completely lost in that bureaucracy! |

The Turnpike Trees being given to the town have to go on public property. Unfortunately, that prohibits the town from helping Mr. Dillon. |
