There will be a Special meeting of the Township Committee to discuss and review the proposed 2010 Budget on SATURDAY, JANUARY 16, 2010 at 9:00 a.m. in the Township Meeting Room, Town Hall, 23-A North Main Street, Cranbury, New Jersey.

Action may be taken.

These meetings are open to the public to attend.

While they can be long and detailed, I would encourage anyone to attend who has an interest in seeing how decisions are made for spending in the town.

Will the public have access to the budget undergoing review?

The public will have access to the prior year actual and budgeted expenses. Once the 2010 budget is agreed upon in these meetings, the final budget will be posted online for the public. There will then be a publci hearing and vote by the township committee on the budget.

A salary program is total compensation an employee receives. It is salary and benefits.

What about a presentation on how much money the township Commitee pays in attorney fees? How about comparing how much this Commitee pays compared to 5 or 6 years ago?

Did anyone attend the TC budget meeting? Any news?

We reviewd some of the administrative expenses and started going through the police budget. Another meeting is scheduled for next Saturday Jan. 23 starting at 9:00 AM where budget discussions will continue.

One resident attended for part of the meeting.
