Alert to our Residents from the Chief of Police:
Disasters often attract opportunists and criminals posing as utility workers or government officials in an attempt to enter your home, distract you and take your belongings. We urge you to protect yourself and follow this one simple tip:
Do not allow anyone to enter your home. Power and utility companies do not need to access your home to provide you electrical or other utility service. Government officials such as FEMA will not ask to enter your residence.
Should you experience someone asking to enter your home politely explain that you cannot accommodate their request and call the Cranbury Township Police immediately.
