Hi,
I just wanted people to know to check yourself and kids if you attended the fireworks. We sat near the tree line (Maplewood side) and pulled a few ticks off last night and this morning. It's easy to forget ticks may be there considering it's a park. But , ticks live in these areas and there are deer as well.
Just a word of caution.
And before anyone says anything there is nothing the TC or anyone can do to prevent this.
Btw, a wonderful event yet again. I also met a person who first attended the fireworks a few years ago after seeing it listed on nj.com. They never saw our town before, but fell in love with it that night. After more trips here for dinners they decided this is where they wanted to live and moved here. So the fireworks do add value to our town. |

Yes a great place to live. The fireworks were A++++ but the Plolice that were directing traffic and making the cars do
u turns at the old fire house after the Fireworks were F----. The woman police officer with the attitude was definitely a minus and the officers that went mind blank when she left were no better. I think its time to go to Traffic Directing 101 and do us proud not make us ashamed. The Committee needs to get feedback and make some changes . |

I walked by the firehouse about 10 minutes after the fireworks ended. I didn't see any issues and the road was open. Can you clarify what you saw?
I did see people walking in the middle of Main St which I thought was Darwinism at work. |
