I noticed when the trees where planted that they were planted awfully low. I'm not an arborist, but have planted enough to know the "plant high don't die" rule. Given the proximity to the lake (and presumed water level of that soil), I'd think it's extra important there. It was too late when I noticed and I assumed someone knew what they were doing or it would be inspected. Anyway, not to jump to conclusions, but most of the trees don't look good. IF they need to be replanted, does the contractor who planted them low do it for free? Who oversees this?

I thought there weren't going to be trees by the lake because the roots caused the damage to the dam.
