How come nobody is questioning our long time resident Art. He happens to be on the planning board at the time and still at the present time. Casting votes when his interests are clearly not for our town. Oh how everyone loved him and said how great he was. INVESTIGATE

Art's not on the Planning Board now. Not sure where you're getting your info.

And not sure where you're getting the "everyone loved him and said how great he was" part either.

Seems like you're just making stuff up to create a strawman argument.

As the previous poster said, Jay did not reappoint Art in January. The property was sold to Penske before it came before the Planning Board and Art was no longer benefiting from anything related to the application.

You and Paul are essentially accusing the Zoning Officer, our legal counsel, our planner and the entire PB of doing an illegal action by favoring an application based on a relationship. I can pretty much assure you that no one is going to break the law for any application and not that many people would all banned together to do it either risking law licenses, their planning business or their reputations.

Here is the deal=In many folks opinion Art has feathered his bed for a long long time with his positions on various boards. He has influenced the boards and Committee members to crucify Cranbury Service Center at the Circle for years claiming truck service centers are not acceptable.. His relationship with George's Garage has cost the Cranbury Service Center hundreds of thousands of dollars in legal fees due to Art's influence to restrict Truck Stop and Service Center applications. The Zoning officer has had a court order restricting his access to the Cranbury Service Center due to the overzealous actions precipitated by Art's influence on the Zoning Office.. Don't any of you so called folks who should know better realize that now he can hit a financial Home Run and now he now is willing to take the financial windfall from Penske. By the way he also gets to keep the 20+ grand a year payment from the cell tower on that parcel.
You can bash Paul all you want but the bottom line is that this is one of the worst --if not the worst-- Zoning/Planning decision ever made by the Township of Cranbury. Quite frankly Paul cares about the fair and proper effects on the environment and not the almighty $$$.
The failure to insure proper environmental impacts are addressed are typical of the pressures exerted by the likes of Mr. Johnson on numerous applications under the guise of "private citizen" comments to the boards. Although this may be "legal" the EC members were not afforded the same opportunity to comment and voice their valid concerns. The Committee really needs to stop allowing the pressure they exert to foster bad decisions for the environment and the future of our community.
What we really need is an intelligent concern for sound ratables that do not compromise the community residents, main street, nor the environment---The Committee needs to focus on that concern and not the race for ratables at any cost which now appears to be the norm !!!
Unfortunatly the present Mayor Taylor has taken a dictator type lead as to how things are done and the Old Guard Mr. "Ratables at any Cost "Johnson have led us along with the "Mr. Attitude" Mr. Mulligan to this sorry state of affairs. At least Mr.Mulligan will be gone and we can only hope that the new and remaining members can right the ship we call The Township Committee that has our fate as residents and taxpayers in their hands--------

Lol. Wow. So Art who had more battles with the zoning officer than anyone else in the history of the town is suddenly getting favorable treatment?

Paul himself admitted that the EC found no environmental or Riparian issues to stop the Penske application. The EC was all about their view that the zoning officer erred in his decision despite the fact that he makes it in consultation with the planner and town attorney. So Paul is better informed than three peoplee who do zoning as a job and have experience?

I love Jay as a dictator line. You Indivisible folks crack me up because he told you the CRc had no place in town. He’s probably the least dictator and most Cranbury concerned on the committee. He does more volunteer work in town than Mike or Matt combined. The only thing I can see close to dictator is the 3 minute rule for comment he follows which was instituted by Mike and Matt last year. Mike was the one who developed rules for the meetings which never existed before and seems the most like a dictator telling people what they must do and limiting speech. So please enlighten me what dictator actions does he take? Show some examples.

I also find it funny that one of the people running for a Dem seat has a website calling this board conservative when most of the posts start by bashing Glenn, Jay and Dan.

So Yes let’s right the ship and kill the town by electing people advocating for more housing and higher taxes. This TC got us through the recession, lowered our taxes, was able to get two major road repairs worth 3 million done for essentially nothing and dredge the lake. All in the same budget so the debt won’t impact future taxes. Indivisible people would crack me up if they were not so intent on ruining the town.
