I attended candidates night. Both individuals did very well Joe and Matt.

perhaps the most interesting was the focus of questions on political parties. That never happens in Cranbury.

A question was asked if you support non partisan elections in town.

It got a little tense. Joe mentioned that Matt is a strong Bernie supporter which he agreed. Then Matt made a comment that at this election Republicans are scary and there is fear of Republicans. He came close to saying all Republicans are racist by saying something along the lines of if you are African American you fear Republicans. I am not sure what point he was trying to make, but it was jaw dropping for Cranbury.

He is one of the worst politicians this town has ever had. Let’s sell pot on Main Street, in a school zone! What a fool!

Matt also said he would vote for what's best for Cranbury as long as it didn't go against his ideals. So he wouldn't vote for what's best for Cranbury at any given time? Joe has my vote!

He also said he created the traffic and communication subcommittees but both of those existed before he was Mayor. He said he would build the library, but how if Evelyn and Jay say no and there is no grant money? He had no answer either on Joe’s ask about why the town used a lake dredging company that was having problems in some other town or why the OEM could not be the Chief and then could be.

It's good to see that the reporter (Andrew Harrison) put together an accurate summary of what actually was said !

Matt did not need to say anything regarding racism or prejudice. Even in his comments to the paper he says it is understandable people would take that view of national Republicans and apply it to those running locally in that party. He is the one making this divide and playing all the divisive cards. He need not say anything at all like this. But chooses to in order to draw a divide. Jay isn’t standing behind Matt telling him to open his mouth and make these comments.

Mayor Matt Scott called all republicans racist. Matt Scott is a hypocrite who is dividing our town.

You mean like our historical society and historic downtown that Matt as well said is a draw? Why keep placing the racism card. Is that the only way you think Matt can win? Anyone who knows Joe knows this type of personal attack is disgusting.

Here is the bottom line: Matt is not what we need for a Mayor. He is Mayor by default. He does not have the background nor backbone to be a neutral representative of the majority of Cranbury residents. He has his own agenda[Library at any cost, Pot Shop on main street etc.], not an agenda that includes the taxpayers. The sad part is when he leaves as Mayor the next doofus Mr. Ferrante[Alias LIBRARY MAN"] will follow. Then the next doofus Barbara Rogers will follow[Bike Lanes at any cost]. We need stability not change. We need a Janice Mirinov who is dedicated to the taxpayers fulltime and who works every day, not a part time wannabe for Mayor. The system we have now is broken. At this time the real "Mayor" is the Administrator, who by default, has all the power and who has most of the Committee buffalowed because they have no idea as to what goes on on a daily basis and as long as things don't explode as with the Emergency Manager she flies way under the radar.

Our system of Rotating "Musical Chairs" Mayor opens the door to personal agendas and constantly changing priorities and projects. It also denies the Taxpayers of being afforded the opportunity to Elect a Mayor based on a Community wide platform. It also costs Cranbury State and County Funds as the Township is not taken seriously by those entities as Leadership is constantly changing.
