Cranbury Township is hosting an important program for anyone interested in understanding the new Medicare Prescription Drug Plan.

A counselor from the Middlesex County Department of Aging will be at Town Hall on Wednesday, April 26th, from 9AM to 1PM to provide individual counseling on selecting a Medicare Part D Prescription Drug Plan. If you or your parents haven’t selected a Medicare prescription drug plan and would like one-on-one counseling contact John Ritter of Cranbury Township’s Human Services Board at (609) 655-8932 to schedule an appointment.

Residents 65 or older with low or moderate annual incomes may also qualify for New Jersey State medication payment assistance. Single residents with annual income in 2006 of less than $21,850 and couples with annual incomes under $26,791 may qualify for the State’s PAAD program. Residents who qualify have a $5 co-pay for each prescription.
