He proceeded to do a quick (30 second) exam and then, without my consent, removed a chunk of skin that he said looked suspicious. I found out later that he has done this with several other people that I know that had gone to him - none of us ended up having anything wrong with those skin biopsies. Seems he likes to just take a scalpel to people so he can charge the insurance. Dr. Bagel then prescribed a medication that I was allergic to (I DID indicate on my health history form that I was allergic to a derivative of that medication!). When I started to have a severe allergic reaction I went in to Bagel's office for an emergency visit and he denied that it was the medication (I have a friend that's a doctor who I ended up talking to and he told me to stop taking the medication immediately). The kicker was that Bagel's office then charged my insurance company DOUBLE for the emergency visit! I went in and told him to recind the claim or I would report him for insurance fraud. He did recind the claim but then charged ME for the visit.
