Personally, not my style, but aside from the part about "have mercy on the people here who don't know you", it seemed pretty harmless. The video is a christian benediction. Did someone suggest we should allow this in school?
So that "performance" seemed perfectly normal to you?
Sure...........
I could dress up like a chicken and flap my wings up and down Main St. and say all kinds of crazy crap. So long as I mention religion or Jesus...............I guess it's okay then?
WOW!
Maybe, she should've purged the audience of evildoers by having a witch trial?
You ARE nuts!
There you go again, distorting the facts. I said "harmless" not "normal" or even agreeable; just "harmless". Our opinions of her faith is irrelevant, as long as her behaviour is harmless.
Harmless???????????
She was shaking and freaking out like some spasmodic!
They had to call her an ambulance.
She appeared to be ready to speak in tongues at 1:15.
Harmless????????????
To a citizen of kookytown, perhaps.
To which, it seems, you are the mayor!
I'm sure even that Texas audience was freaked out by her behavior.
YOU ARE WEIRD!!!!!!!
Seek help.............. STAT!
I think you are missing the other posters point. Clearly the woman is a psycho. But what "harm" to others is she doing? The poster said she was weird, but harmless. And that seems fair. She's not physically hurting anyone. For those already predisposed to believe in her version of faith she may inspire them, but they were already so inclined. For those that see her as weird, so be it. Either way no one got hurt. She didn't warp any minds not already warped. She didn't pull a gun or pass dangerous legislation or slander anyone (except perhaps God but God can handle it and has managed worse).
Thank you, Guest 6, that was my point. I don't care if a person has "crazy" religious beliefs, as long as they aren't hurting anyone. This is America... live and let live!
I do find it amusing that the person who feels the need to intentionally miss my point in order to anonymously hurl insults at me thinks that I'm the one who needs to "seek help", but I guess that is their harmless opinion.

Who wants to see that nutbag everytime you look at your video?
Who replays video of their kids ENTIRE graduation? They only care about the parts with their kids, or maybe just maybe the main speaker if they are famous or interesting. The rest doesn't matter.
...........yeah.......................I guess......................
I guess that the Valedictorian is not important anyway.

Responses like this is why it's so hard to have rational discussions with believers. They go right past the craziness - to get into the defensive posture.
I think on some level they know that suspending belief in defense of their ego is pathetic
Thats the problem with faith-based people. Facts & reality hold NO sway with them. They get a nutty idea in their heads and it stays there like a tumor. No amount of reason or rationale will convince them of the Truth.

When individuals repeatedly either voluntarily or by force suspend belief in real things - the result is very scary!!
We've been through this before though and have prevailed -- Thank GOD
