Cranbury Arts Council Meeting (originally scheduled for 11/11/09)- Changed to Wednesday, November 18 at 7:00 p.m in the Gourgaud Gallery in Townhall. The CAC is looking for new members who will help out with various activities over the course of the next year. The degree of participation is very flexible; anything from helping out a few hours over the course of 12 months, whether in the Gallery, at the Summer Children's Camp, at Cranstock, or on Cranbury Day, to becoming a board member who will help shape and define the Arts Council for the coming years. All are welcome and an interest in promoting the arts in our town is the only prerequisite. Artistic talent is not necessary. Please direct any questions to drifkin82@hotmail.com or Joanne Hanson at jjkbb@comcast.net.

Didn't you have any interaction with the key stakeholders during that period? With all due respect, I find it hard to believe that communication between the leadership and its members was non-existent.

I'm curious... Were there any notable outcomes from this meeting? Any word on which committees were being considered or formed? Any specificity about the types of volunteers or resources needed?

This may suggest a reason for dwindling participation: residents are not clear about the group's current mission or needs. (Perhaps one of those new committees might be Community Outreach?)

Would the CAC consider a follow-up meeting one evening to cater to folks who work during the day and could not attend the last one?

Thanks for any information anyone can provide.

The Cranbury Arts Council will hold a meeting Wednesday, October 14 at 1:30 in the Gourgaud Gallery in Town Hall. We will be forming new committees, and looking for some new people to step up and help out. Without the help of our members, we will not be able to go forward with some of our programs, including summer camp. Please plan to attend this important meeting.

If you are able to volunteer, but cannot attend, please contact Joanne Hanson jjkbb@comcast.net

(I am posting on behalf of Arts Council, it is a great organization to support)
