I think that the CAC is GREAT, but, in the Summer, they should try to coordinate with the town sponsored Summer camp down at the Cranbury School. The Summer camp runs from 8:30-3:00 Mon.-Fri., and if you want to take a CAC course, you miss out on Summer Camp things to do, like swimming. Could some classes at CAC be taken after 3:00 p.m., or on Saturday mornings? Not everyone goes to the beach every single weekend in the Summer. Maybe something could be worked out for the future?
I would be happy to forward info on to people at the arts council but I did not want to leave their contact info on a public forum without their permission. Feel free to email me at
wcody@alum.mit.edu
and I will be sure they appropriate people get the message. It is great people want to help, the Arts Council is a wonderful organization.

Is there no one who can be contacted directly to obtain information about becoming involved? If you prefer, I will leave my contact info here so someone from the CAC can contact me.
Thanks!

Thanks! In the meantime, is there someone I can contact directly to inquire about becoming more involved?
Thanks again!

Yes, meetings in the past have been held at different times. The 10/14 meeting is an attempt to get some new volunteers to join. The idea is that some moms/dads will be able to attend before picking their kids up at school.
Will post future meeeting dates.

I'm thrilled to hear the Arts Council is still active. And, I'm sorry I had to miss Cranstock this year as I heard it was great!
I would love to get involved in the Council as some "new blood." However, it would be impossible for me to attend any type of meeting in the middle of the day during the week because of work. Are meetings ever held in the evenings or on weekends?

CAC may not run a camp this summer as new board members are needed to fill some vacant shoes. If you have ideas come to a CAC meeting on 10/14 1:30 in the Gallery in Town Hall and sign up for some committee or other.

Is there anyway I can obtain the e-mail address for Deb Rifkin? I have some entertainment related ideas I'd like to share with her that could possibly align with future Cranbury events.

The Cranbury Arts Council is still active. Did you go to Cranstock? That was sponsered by the CAC. CAC is running low on energy though. They need new blood. THere is a reorganization meeting on Wednesday, October 14th at 1:30 in the Gallery located inside Town Hall. Come one, come all.
Although the council does great work and I for one, totally enjoyed Cranstock, I have no personal interest in becoming a
permanent
full-time member. However, I would be interested in lending my support in the area of entertainment for any/all future Cranstock-like events.
I managed a NJ based band for three years and was the person who initially served as the conduit for booking the Robert Murdock Band at their inaugural concert at Matt and Patty Long's Cranbury Neck Road residence several years ago.
I have a few connections with a few local bands that might come in handy when it comes to booking future acts for Cranbury events including next year's music festival and picnic.

Although the summer has passed and camp has given way to school, I am also interested in receiving news and information about the Arts Council.
Is the Council still active? Whate else does the Council do besides the summer camp? How can I get involved?
If anyone out there has any info, please post it here.
Thanks!

Post subject: Cranbury Arts Council?
Does anyone know anything about this? I tried looking online but couldn't find anything.
Do they have an office somewhere in town I can drop the summer art and tech camp registration forms off at?
I'm also wondering if it makes sense to join (gives a 10 percent discount on summer camp). Does anyone know how much it costs to join, where to get paperwork, etc?
Camp deadline is Friday so I'm scrambling. I did leave a message on the phone number listed on the camp brochure.
Thanks!
