This is an example of how powerful flood waters can be. Watch it take trees and suck them under the road... just before it collapses. Please pay attention to barricades and stay out of the flood waters!

Thanks for the info. I appreciate the extra hard work of the township employees and volunteers during the storm.I just think it would be a good idea to look into a disaster alert above and beyond the fire alarm. At 11:15 on Saturday night, while most of Cranbury was sleeping, we had a tornado warning. That is a pretty scary and serious event that we don't seem to be prepared for. |
This is the stupidest idea I ever heard. We should let people sleep through the night even if there is a tornado warning and we have a fire horn that could wake everyone up. Serves them right for sleeping in the first place. They should have stayed up all night listening to the radio, just in case! |

I actually heard one resident as Main St was flooding and PW was out tapping off the road that they and the town did not do enough to stop the flood. I couldn't believe what I was hearing, yea PWs has the power to stop a hurricane.
I want to commend the PWs department, Police, fire, First Aid, CERT and all others who were there before, during and after to protect our town. We had a hurricane and it's bad there was damage. However, these people made the damage so much easier to deal with and less then it could have been. They all deserve a big congratulations and thanks. |

| Cranbury DPW workers have been awesome. They have been working the asses off since before the storm. If you see one, go thank them and let them know they are doing great work. If they didn't do the work, would you? |

Did you know fast moving water just above your ankles can knock you off your feet? Most people do not!
That’s why each year, more deaths occur due to flooding than from any other thunderstorm related hazard. Many of the deaths occur in automobiles as they are swept downstream. Of these drownings, many are preventable, but too many people continue to drive around the barriers that warn you the road is flooded. You will not know the depth of the water nor will you know the condition of the road under the water. |
