Post subject: Free Trees for Arbor Day
This year the Cranbury Lions Club is celebrating their 80th Anniversary by planting 80 trees around Cranbury to signify 80 years of service to the community. Following their motto “We Serve”, the Lions hope to celebrate their history, educate Cranbury about Lions programs, and fulfill their outreach mission to make the community a better place by planting these trees.
Cranbury resident and Eagle Scout candidate, Clay Kaiser, is working with The Cranbury Lions Club, the NJ Tree Foundation, and the Boy Scouts of America in order to make this project successful. He is also planning and leading this project as part of his Eagle Scout rank leadership requirements.
Clay, with help of volunteers of Troop 52 and the Cranbury Lions Club will plant 80 saplings on Earth Day (April 22). Homeowners have 4 different types of saplings to choose from which include the Tulip Poplar, the Eastern Redbud, the Willow Oak, and the Flowering Dogwood. More information about these trees are available on the website For more information please visit
