Post subject: Re: Power in Shadow Oaks?
This is an excellent warning. A friend had the same issue with his home. He was using his pool and would notice a small shock when he touched the handrail. The electrician came out and confirmed there was nothing wrong with the pool and thought it odd after 5 years. They did some further investigating and found there was an issue with the underground service running to the home. Apparently the current was traveling underground until finding the pool. When they told the town building department apparently it solved the issue for a couple other homes in town too that had this odd issue and no one could figure out why.

Post subject: Re: Power in Shadow Oaks?
I live near Jefferson Rd. Last winter, my house had a power surge that damaged almost all of my surge-protector outlets, computer power supplies, and some small appliances.
PS&G came to have a look and determined that my line had to be replaced. Meanwhile, they connected my line to my next-door neighbor's for temporary use. About a month later, they did install a new power line to my house.
The power surge was scary: smoke of fried power outlets and damaged appliances and computers. It could lead to house fire if not fixed.

The power in the eastern section of Shadow Oaks usually goes out only when the transformer on Old Trenton Road blows.

Not sure if it is true. But I spoke with a PSEG guy the other day just by chance and they said there are Improvements being made due to age. It could just be gossip so take it for what it is worth.

Does anyone know what's going on with the power in Shadow Oaks? It seems that in the last several years, our power goes out randomly for no reason. It recently happened Sunday.
