The Cranbury of yesteryear is done. It’s been replaced by power hungry woke leftist’s. One of their key words is “diversity”, which is ironic since they are all upper middle class white people, who have chosen to raise their families in a predominantly white, upper middle class municipality. The other key word is “inclusion.” Another irony because they are only interested in “inclusion” if you have the exact same social and political ideology as they do. To put it simply they are bullies. It is all fake. You have to hand it to them they are clever. They figured out a way to manipulate the electorate and they ran with it.
It makes sense why deSantis was so worked up at the meeting. He seems to hate the people of the town he serves and who pay him. Must be nice having no accountability.

Did Spann concede or is she going to be a Republican election denier
can't imagine why any reasonable Cranbury citizen would not think a MAGA republican running for TC office would not be an election denier. They follow their tribal leader

Evelyn was very gracious..
"Evelyn Spann
The election results have been confirmed and congratulations
go out to your newly elected and re-elected Township Committee members; Mayor Barbara Rogers and Lisa Kniernem. After speaking with each of them today, I am confident they will do the work it takes to make good decisions at the table. I wish them the very best!"

It has nothing to do with Jay. It is a non issue here. The bottom line is that we are stuck with a newbie that really has not participated in the TC meetings and has a huge amount of catching up to do. The dedication to detail that was provided to us by Evelyn was fantastic. I can only hope that this is just not another resume builder for Lisa. The time it takes that Evelyn spent trying to be a conscientious TC member was extensive. If Lisa can spend that time and catch up to that learning curve, well that is great, but it will take a tremendous effort. Lets see how many meetings she attends and boards she participates with. If she really wants to make a difference she will need to fully participate and not be just another place holder for the rest of the TC hacks.
Maybe Matt Scott who finds it hard to be available will resign and we can get a real TC member. These "I want to be MAYOR " folks need to go.

I attended Candidates night and less than 1% of voters showed. I don’t think Candidates night had anything to do with it. Lisa was a CEO. Since Dave and Jay (whatever your view of either) left there has been no one on the TC with a finance background. Example: the town cut taxes and the administrator and two of the current committee people argued it was financially a poor decision that would haunt the town. Here we are four years later the surplus is up and we have not had a tax increase since. Clearly it was the right discussion. I voted Lisa because of that glaring weakness. You need someone who sees that and can cut through the poor financial practices at town hall.
"Jay's company" was investigated for major fraud at the time he worked there as a VP....Aon, right?

With such a close difference in votes a recount might be considered. It was a shame that whoever was advising Evelyn and Barbara Wright made the decision to have them not participate in the Candidates Night. That one miscalculation was most likely the difference between winning and losing by such a close margin. That strategy may work in a large city or much larger political campaign but it just turned off many folks in small town Cranbury.
The sad part is that Cranbury lost one of the most dedicated and knowledgeable Committee members that we have had in forty plus years. Unfortunately her conscientious efforts to make meeting after meeting and study plans and documents and be so well versed on so many aspects of this community will be for naught.
We are now left with a stacked deck of "Nothing is too good for my child" or Main streeters who will continue to push for more and more "WANTS" not needs. They are the photo op pros but just wait and see what damage they can do now.
Its a very sad day for the Cranbury of days gone by.
