The very strong possibility that he would cede his seat to another Democrat based on the agenda of this stacked committee is significant. All they want are photo ops and a chance to better their political careers. One committee member in particular is positioning herself for higher state office. She is associating herself with the present members of the assembly and senate and is on the road to higher office if the "Force" is with her! He is Ferrante's yes man. Look at the minutes from all the meetings Matt Scott has missed. The gang we now have "Leading" our community is really the worst Committee I have seen as a Lifetime resident of Cranbury. They all vote the party line and don't have any self respect to speak their minds on things that need thoughtful discussion and they refuse to have any "Public" discussion.
