Post subject: Cranbury- Student Council Day
When appointed Mayor this year one goal I had was to establish a better relationship between Town Hall, the school and the children in our community.
It was therefore my privilege to make March 25th the first of what I hope will become the annual, "Student Council Day in Cranbury."
On the 25th we turned over the Township Committee meeting room to our school's student council. Sitting where the TC sits the students conducted their meeting and discussed a number of issues.
It was a privilege watching these students conduct a meeting and seeing how well the school and their parents have done supporting their education. The students were inquisitive and articulate. In fact, I was jealous of their efficiency.
The Cranbury Press along with School and Township Administration attended further highlighting for the students what it is like to govern a meeting as a town official. I want to personally thank these individuals in making the day a success for our students. [/list]
