Post subject: Re: Need to fix the transmission of my Toyota RAV4
JR (Exxon) and Tony (Georges) will refer you to a transmission specialist. This makes a lot of sense since the work is pretty specialized and detail oriented. I worked with Steve at Gibralter Transmissions in the past 20years for 4 different vehicles. He is extremely fair priced and offers a very good warranty on the work. They actually repair/rebuild the transmission compared to a dealer (Toyota, Ford, GM etc.) who will try to sell you a totally new part for thousands of dollars more. The cost for my latest F-150 transmission repair/rebuild was $2400. The work was excellent and done in two days. I highly recommend Steve -

I use two shops:
Junior at Cranbury Manor Exxon
George's garage
Both are very good shops and less than a dealer.
I use Cranbury Manor most often. However, if I need a place I can walk to then I use George's.

The transmission has issues. A Toyota dealer quoted me almost $5,000!!
Please recommend a good local auto repair shop. Thanks.
