Post subject: Re: My mutual fund transactions for this year
Finally, I wrote a letter to sell all the shares of my Less Mason value Trust Fund (LMVTX).
A person called back on 4/12/06 to confirm the transaction. All the shares were sold on that day (4/12/06).
The proceeds is $23,415.50.
When did I receive the check of the proceeds? 4/22/06 (11 days later!)
This is the worst turn-around time I have ever experienced for any funds that I sold by writting signed letters. And, the branch handling my accound is in Westfield, NJ (about 1-hour drive from Cranbury)!
The lesson for me: I'll buy mutual funds or Exchange-Traded funds (ETFs) using my brokerage account from now on. On-line trading is more convenient for me (although I may have to pay tradinging fees if the funds are not "no-transaction-fee" type of funds).

Post subject: My mutual fund transactions for this year
Sell all my LMVTX (Legg Mason Value Trust) Fund shares (~$22,500).
(Bill Miller's Google and Amazon ownership makes me nervous).
Use the proceeds to buy the following three funds:
1. Third Avenue Value (TAVFX)
2. Bridgeway Ultra-Small Company Market (BRSIX)
3. Dodge & Cox International Stock (DODFX)
