Mayor's Update - August 15, 2023- Revised
Dear Cranbury Residents,
I hope you are enjoying the last month of summer.
At last night’s Township Committee meeting, we shared the good news about the completion of the Village Park permeable half-mile walking path and reviewed the status of several in-progress projects. At our township business meetings, we offer the public the opportunity to provide three minutes of public comment on any topic of interest to them. Then, after the public comment, we do our best to answer any questions or issue raised during the comments. We thank residents for their respect and support of these guidelines as we conduct our business meeting. And, we always appreciate the feedback.
Community Solar: access the benefits of solar energy without installing solar panels on your property!
Cranbury’s Green Team and Township Committee are excited to share information about New Jersey’s newest clean energy program, Community Solar. If your home is not conducive to solar, but you want to participate and benefit from nearby renewable energy projects, this program is for you! This is also ideal for renters and 51% of the capacity is reserved for lower income residents. Not only do you save money, but you support NJ’s transition to cleaner energy. Act Now! Please check out Community Solar for more details and how to enroll at Solar Landscape.
Petty Road re-paving is coming to completion. As you may recall, the re-construction of the road was a condition for Toll Brothers in their development on Dey Road. The project is being done in stages to minimize disruption to residents. The project is under the supervision of our township engineer and township inspector, and they are making sure the project is completed according to all requirements (including any repairs to completed sections). Thank you in advance for your patience and for not bothering the crews while they’re working; please excuse any inconvenience while the project is underway.
.
