They are investing thousands of dollar in a cat-detector van which will cruise the village looking for unlicensed cats residing in people's homes. Expect to get a big fine or even confiscation of your cat by the local cat-detector person. Big Mother is watching you!

So are all the other excuses. This is a tax, as others have said and has absolutely nothing to do with sound public policy.

This all started when the County Animal Shelter presented this idea to our Cranbury Board of Health as a way to raise money. They in turn ran with the idea and sucessfully put a spin as the rabies scare (which by the way is effecting our wildlife only and the board of health has not implemented a solution such as vaccine pellets).
