| You can join, go through the training, respond to calls, participate in drills and events, and then you can hand out donuts!

| Vehicle extrication is one of the rescue disciplines we practice regularly. We use the "Jaws of Life" to take apart vehicles involved in crashes and remove patients. | Taxes. Not fire taxes. West windsor overall taxes are much much higher than Cranbury. If we have to pay 5 million a year for paid firefighters that is going to increase each homeowner’s bill by thousands of dollars. | |

| Worse, imagine your tax bills if the town suddenly has to pay for fire fighters. Adding millions a year for a paid fire company would mean West Windsor level taxes. | |

| Fun Fact! We not only respond to accidents and fires. We've responded to some unique calls over the years. 10 years ago today we helped rescue a bear out of a tree! Next time you see Tower 48 look for the bear paw print on the platform.

| Did you know that 7 out of every 10 firefighters in the US are volunteers? The Cranbury Volunteer Fire Co. is 100% volunteer fire department. We need your help to stay that way! We have 3 different classes of membership. We provide for all training and equipment.
Active Member - For members 18 years or older. Trained as an interior firefighter, can pursue training in other facets of fire/rescue services. Rescue Member - For members 18 years or older. Trained as a first responder and in extrication operations, can pursue training in other facets of rescue and or move up to Active Member and become trained as a firefighter. Jr Member - For members 14 - 18. Training to learn the equipment and operations of the department. Not allowed to train as interior firefighters or full rescue operations.
